Who is Sun Power Motorhomes

We are a small team here at Sun Power Motorhomes, led by Alan and his lovely wife, Hannah. Alan has been working in the industry for many years and started his own custom motorhome building business back in 2015. He spends much of his time liaising with clients in order to design a motorhome that caters to the individual needs while retaining the functionality and practicality required by a home on wheels. Hannah and Bianca are usually in the office assisting with enquiries through email, phone and Facebook. On the workshop floor, Patrick, Rev and Gustavo are always hard at work, from putting together a kitchen bench top area (Patrick), modifying a doorstep (Rev), or prepping a bathroom for a shower installation (Gustavo).

What have we been working on

Over the last few months we have seen many vehicles come and go, with small upgrades to full fitouts. There has been refitting of air conditioner units, updating bedroom areas from a double bed to 2 single beds and adding additional storage with overhead cupboards.

The workshop always seems full, which is a lovely feeling. We put so much love into every vehicle we work on. One of our ongoing projects is this 2010 Toyota Coaster bus in the early stages of its fitout. We caught a time lapse of Rev replacing the old roof insulation with Foilboard and then covered the floor with a beautiful faux wood vinyl.

We have an Isuzu Truck which has been partially fitted out and ready for a bed lifter to be installed, as well as a refurbishment of a 58-seater coach…look out for our next newsletter for more updates on this one.

Choosing Solar energy is especially ideal for off-grid camping in both small and large vehicles. For battery management systems and solar controlling, we use quality products from Enerdive, REDARC and Projecta.
